What People Say
I would like to thank you all for talking very good care of J in her time at Springfield. I think that what impresses me most is the patience, kindness and the ability to remain calm in what seems to me as sometimes difficult situations in challenging environment, you all do such a marvellous job!Mrs L Bushell
To Leonnie and all staff who looked after G. Words are never enough to say how much dad and I feel about the care, love and compassion you shown to G. Nothing was too much for you, she could not have been loved and cherished by anyone more!Mrs M Brennan
On a recent visit to Springfield I witnessed an excellent example of palliative care with one of your residents; there was good evidence of respect and dignity and a caring environment for both the resident and her family. Nothing was too much trouble, small touches such as lighting and music (to the residents taste), care for the family, ensuring they were comfortable (cups of tea and offers of food) all amounted to what I would personally deem to be excellent practiceLynn Chambers, Neighbourhood Clinical Lead, District Nurse Team
I always found the staff to be approachable and down to earth and I know you all cared for gran in the way I wanted when I moved overseasClare Calvert
I am writing to let you know how impressed I was with the staff at Springfield and their kindness and consideration towards my husband and myself. I particularly want to write to you about Leonnie and the amazing efforts she made to get the best help for my husband in his latter months. She showed extraordinary character and has done more for us than I am sure is in her job description. V had many problems over the months and Leonnie was always prompt and decisive and took action to make his life better for him was a great comfort to me. Leonnie treated V as an individual and took the time to get to know him and understand his disabilities, which were many, and this made me feel confident in leaving him at Springfield and that he would not be treated as a commodity but as a human being with his own personality which unfortunately is a rare thing in many care homes todayMrs M Gallagher
My brother and myself would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all staff at Springfield for the professional and caring way our mum Mary was looked after during her years with you all. Once again many thanks for us, and I’m sure also from mumMr S Evans
